Each year, the Guild votes to support a needed service or project that is recommended to them from Good Shepherd Medical Center. Since 1984, Gold Rush has netted more than $6 million and has played a vital role in the development and advancement of such services as the Heart Center, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Good Shepherd's Institute for Healthy Living, The Breast Center, the Perinatology Clinic and Women's Center, the Shepherd House, and the Digital Mobile Mammography Service.

With your assistance, Gold Rush 2011 “Boots, Buckles and Bling” will fund an addition to Good Shepherd’s Medical Simulation Center of East Texas. The Center will provide training participants with real-life medical situations. Good Shepherd personnel, nursing students, high school students, firefighters, various healthcare instructors and others will benefit from this simulation lab. With the support of you and many others, guests will be kicking up their heels, enjoying an awesome evening and Good Shepherd will benefit to boot!
